Market Report · July 2026
Barely anything sold out in July.
We keep an eye on ticket sales across every UK competition site we can find. 14,019 of them drew in July, and the big takeaway is one most sites won't shout about: hardly any sold out, so the odds were usually better than advertised.
July's story · the odds
Sites quote your odds as if every ticket sells. They don't. Only 8% actually sold out in July, and the typical comp closed at 58%. If a competition doesn't fill up, your real odds beat the "1 in [maximum]" on the entry page.
The big ones
Who was busiest
Competitions drawn in July. A handful of high-frequency sites run a big share of the market.
Odds by price
We split July's competitions by ticket price and looked at how full they got. The under-£1 tickets sold the least of any paid band, so on average they closed with the roomiest odds. Dearer entries filled up more.
Typical (median) share of tickets sold at close, by ticket price. Lower means more unsold tickets, which means better odds for the people who did enter.
The trust check
We rate every site we list against 12 trust indicators and boil it down to a letter. It's a picky test, and the spread shows it: only about one site in twenty earns an A or better, and the biggest single group is the bottom grade. It's worth knowing where a site sits before you hand over a card.
Across the sites we currently rate. We keep the exact scoring internal so it can't be gamed, but every site's letter is on its listing.
The cheap end
July ran 758 free-to-enter competitions, and the cheapest paid entry was a single penny, a £700 cash draw at UKCC. The quiet, cheap comps that never fill up are usually where the best value hides.

Our pick for August is 7Days Performance, an A-rated site. A proper R34 Skyline GTR, one of the most sought-after Japanese cars there is, plus £2,000 in cash, and tickets are just 99p. That's a lot of car for under a quid.
