How we assess operator trust
Every site we track is assessed against ten transparency and player-protection criteria, each weighted by how much it matters to entrants. We add credit for independent Trustpilot reviews and for a long-established operating company, and we deduct points for hostile clauses found in a site's terms and conditions. The result is a grade from A+ down to F.
Odds Published
Displays your odds of winning in a recognisable format (e.g. "Your odds with 1 ticket are 1 in 875") so you can make an informed decision before entering.
Entry List
Provides a visible, public list of entrants or ticket numbers so you can verify your entry.
Winners Published
Past winners are publicly listed, confirming prizes are awarded.
Free Entry
Offers a free postal or online entry route as required by UK law, based on the operator's published terms. We haven't independently tested that the route works in practice.

External Certification
Draw fairness or the random number generator is certified by an independent auditor. Sites that publish a per-draw, mathematically checkable result anyone can independently verify score higher than those relying on a periodic certificate.
Hostile terms & conditions
We read every operator's terms and flag clauses that work against entrants — no refunds, cancellation without a refund, broad disqualification powers, sweeping liability exclusions and more. Each category of hostile clause we find reduces the site's trust grade.
Prize sustainability
We analyse whether total ticket revenue from a site's completed competitions covers the advertised prize values. This helps identify sites where the economics of running the competition don't add up. It is reported separately and does not affect the trust grade.
